Affiliate programs are a highly competitive market to break into. We recommend only those who
are already proven performers. We also look for systems such as turnkey systems, to affiliate
with or refer to. We like to call our system referralware rather than affiliate programs. Why you
ask? It's simple, right now if you type into a search engine the word "affiliate programs" you find
what we did, there are about 8,460,000 give or take one or two sites.
Now Search on referralware and you'll find about 81,400 sites listed at Yahoo where we did our
searches. Now you have to calculate those items that are going to get you onto that first or
second page of sites. It's pretty much common knowledge that most sites use the "meta tag="
keywords to list the possible search words that will give you the best ranking. In older times,
search engine web spiders went only by keywords and the number of times they appear with in
the site to rank it. This led people to doing things such as "hide" the list in transparent text on all
their pages, so that they could rank higher in the position of relevance to keywords. Today the
big two (Google and Yahoo) are using a combination of methods to compile a relevant list of
links.
Searching Google which uses DMOZ or the open directory project, and you'll find for "affiliate
programs" and we found about 3,180,000 sites. Better than Yahoo's search, but still a little on
the large size of sites to go through in order to find one that will work for you! And who knows,
the site you really "NEED" maybe listed as number 9265 on page 926 half way or in the number 5
of page 926.
Now how many of you search, and search but can't find the right thing? If its not on the first two
pages or possibly three, it may never be seen. Are you even going to dig deeper than that? I
usually find what I need in the first two pages of hits.
On the Internet, just as in regular businesses, it's location, location, location! Where does
your site rank? For affiliate sites, your site should be on that first two pages. So how
do I get there you ask? I can either refer you to someone who can explain it great detail and even
set you up with the ways to do it, or you can affiliate with us and we will help you get that location
you need and make some type of progress in your endeavor.
